Bongani Mountain Lodge is situated in a subtropical area that contains a variety of mosquitoes that carry different strains of malaria. Although Bongani is a low risk area please ensure that you take the required prophylactic before, during and after your visit to the lodge. It is also advisable as an extra precaution to use an insect repellent and wear long –sleeved clothing and trousers

CHILDREN POLICY
• Children between the ages of 2 to 6 years stay free if sharing a room with adults, subject to availability
• Subject to availability of suitable accommodation, a maximum of 2 children between the ages of 7 to 12 years may share a bedroom with 2 adults @ the above cost.
• Children aged 13 years and older will be accommodated in their own room and will pay the adult rate
• Baby sitting services are available at the Lodge, offered at a rate of R20.00 per hour maximum of 3 children per childminder (this rate is subject to change)
• Please note that the terrain is hazardous for children. Parents must exercise due care at all times

GAME DRIVE POLICY FOR CHILDREN
• Children aged 4-6 years will be permitted on children’s game drives after breakfast, subject to availability
• The game drive will be for 1 hour and 30 minutes long and includes the following:- It will be on the Main Road close to the lodge, They will learn about trees, insects and tracks – to make it interesting There is an additional charge of R200.00 per vehicle
• They must be accompanied by an adult
• Wherever possible families with children will be accommodated on separate game drives
• Parental or adult supervision will be a pre-requisite when children between the ages of 7 to 12 years accompany parents on normal game drives, children under the age of 7 will not be permitted on normal game drives

DEPOSIT POLICY
For all bookings a 25% non-refundable deposit is required within 7 days of making the reservation. Please note that the reservation is not confirmed until this deposit has been paid in full. We reserve the right to release any accommodation held, where the required deposit has not been paid in full within the stated period.
The outstanding balance must be paid in advance, no less than 40 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. For bookings made within 40 days of travel, full payment is required on confirmation.

Important Notes:
• Game drives and bush walks take place on Mthethomusha Game Reserve
• Bottled water is included on the game drives and bush walks
• No alcoholic beverages allowed on the bush walks or morning game drives. Alcoholic beverages are allowed on the night drive

Transfer rate is one-way per person; in closed, air-conditioned vehicles
Transfers originate and terminate in the Bongani Mountain Lodge reception / car park
Other transfers are available, price on request

Transfer and bush walk rates are exempt of VAT
Game drives are subject VAT levy of 14%
• Rates are subject to change due to circumstances beyond our control

CANCELLATION POLICY – INDIVIDUALS
30 – 15 days prior to arrival at the lodge - 50% of the full amount if the entire booking is cancelled or 50% of the revenue relating to
the cancelled rooms
14 – 0 days prior to arrival at the lodge - 90% of the full amount if the entire booking is cancelled or 90% of the revenue relating to
the cancelled rooms
Refunds, if agreed, are subject to a 10% administration fee.
