SUMPTUOUS STAYING

An eclectic collection of artwork is found throughout the house ranging from the Ming Dynasty through to indigenous African and European contemporary art.

All our delicious meals, prepared by our cordon bleu chef and two local chefs,are influenced by an African thread and include the freshest local fruit, homemade cheeses and preserve.

Generous breakfasts such as waffles with bacon and honey, spinach crumpets and camembert split with figs and ginger may be served indoors or in the garden.

Cocktails and delectable snacks are served each evening, followed by dinner on request.

Secretarial services are available at reception, along with Internet and email facilities. At the end of the day, guests can retire to the luxury and comfort of the lounge or veranda sipping sundowners whilst watching the sun set against the majestic Simonsberg mountain range.

HALF DAY SPIRITS OF THE PAST TOUR
On the hills surrounding the City of Grahamstown we examine the many peoples and cultures that have influenced the region - in
particular the Battle of Grahamstown, and the profound effect that they had on South African History. This tour is ideal for the traveller
who has limited time but would like to get a comprehensive and informative overview of the region. Departing at 09:00 or 14:00 to Signal
Hill outside Grahamstown. Minimum of two people per tour. NB No auditory or recording equipment is permitted.

FULL DAY SPIRITS OF THE PAST TOUR
We head out into the Great Fish River Valley, visiting forts, settlements, memorials and battle-sites in the Frontier region. We travel
through the game reserve complexes Andries Vosloo, Sam Knott and Double Drift, experiencing spectacular scenery, vacillating
emotions and in-depth insight into the lives of these heroic people. Depart 09:00. Minimum of two people per tour. NB No auditory or
recording equipment is permitted.
