The A-Frame
This is a very nice shore dive with easy access for those of us who just don't get to the gym often enough. The site is usually dived during the winter months when visibility is best. There can be a bit of surge but it is usually calm inshore. There is a lovely cave resembling an 'A' but this can sometimes be silted up.

You can see lots of invertebrates here and some of the fish you'll see include Roman, Hottentot, dassie, and stumpnose. There are also small sharks like pyjama shark and sometimes even seals.

Average depth: 8m

Maximum depth: 15m

How to get there:
The A Frame is can be found just past Froggy Pond about 5km outside Simon's Town on the road to Cape Point. Follow the road until you see some cottages on a large green lawn on the sea side of the road. On the rocks next to the sea there is mast which has replaced the A-frame structure that some say the site got its name from. You can enter from the flat rock below the mast or from the boulders to the south.
