The
Atlantic Ocean is the colder of the two oceans. Temperatures are usually
between 10 - 14 degrees Centigrade. The visibility is unfortunately
at its best when the water is freezing - so be prepared. This will
definitely affect your dive times and air consumption.
Despite
the temperature it is well worth diving this ocean because it does
hold some spectacular dives and the wreck diving is particularly good.
The kelp forests make for very beautiful scenery and its worth trying
a night dive to fully appreciate the magical feeling of floating through
an underwater forest.
