Clifton Rocks

This dive is situated off one of the mst popular beaches in the country. The site is about 75-100m from 4th Beach. There is colourful marine growth on and around the rock and there are dense patches of kelp too. This area also falls within the marine sanctuary which means lots of crayfish.

This site is sheltered from even the strongest south-easterly winds.

Average depth: 10m

Maximum depth: 15m

How to get there:
Take the footpath between the bungalows leading to the big rocks on the south end of 4th Beach. The easiest way to reach the entry point is to circle round to the left to get to the sand at the bottom. From there enter the sea from the rocks facing the cluster of huge boulders out to sea. The site is around the boulders and you'll have to swim about 75-100m. You can also swim from the beach if
you prefer.
