Sunny Cove

This site is sheltered in Fish Hoek bay and if often calm and clear when the rest of the area is not diveable. The rocky reefs here are covered in marine growth but the inverebrate life is not as colourful as some of the sites further south. There is a lot of small fish abnd a few elusive pipefish and hard-to-spot seahorses have been seen lurking in the sea-grass.

This is a favourite place for night dives, when you'll see small dog sharks and half-buried soles.

Average depth:7m

Maximum depth:10m

How to get there:
Sunny Cove is on the south side of Fish Hoek Bay. Park next to the Sunny Cove railway station just south of Fish Hoek. Cross the railway line over the bridge, follow the paved walkway to the right of the beach and choose one of the many easy entry and exit points.
