d'Ouwe Werf offers guests the perfect retreat from the bustling activities of Stellenbosch, in a serene environment . Evenings may be spent with a fine glass of port in our resident's lounge "de Kromme Elleboog" ("the raised elbow"). Our private courtyard's relaxing atmosphere will also ease away any strains after a busy day or prepare you for an exciting day ahead, d'Ouwe Werf being the perfect setting from which to explore the splendour of Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands.

Situated in the original building, these rooms date back to 1802. These large rooms are furnished with antiques and decorated individually. The bathrooms are furnished in Georgian or Victorian style. 5 double and 4 twins.

superior rooms - 9
These rooms were refurbished in 2006 and are spread over 3 buildings. Furnished in a modern Cape style, these rooms are larger than the others rooms on the Hotel.
3 double and 6 twin rooms.

governor rooms - 4
Named after the first governors of the Cape, these spacious rooms are all furnished in comfortable modern Cape style. They boast walk-in dressing rooms, large bathrooms and under floor heating. 1 double and 3 twin rooms.

oak apartments - 6
Luxurious apartments, perfect for long stays, each with their own kitchenette, dining room table and lounge.

Payment & Cancellation Policy:
Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
If the arrival is within 30 days of the reservation, we require full payment on confirmation.
Cancellations received less that 14 days prior to arrival will result in one nights cancellation fee.
For no-shows, the full accommodation booked will be charged.
In the event of a refund, a 10% administration fee will be retained for cancellations received after the card has been charged.
