Alternatively guests can choose to stay over in the individual log-cabins which have been decorated in a blend of colonial African and modern western, all linked together by a boardwalk in a valley overgrown with Aloe and fynbos.

All rooms are equipped with televisions and have tea and coffee facilities. MNET and DSTV are available. Dinners are served around a camp fire in the boma.

On completion of plans to extend the establishment to 5000ha the numbers of game on the land will be dramatically increased from the maximum it hosts at present. The numbers of predators, dependant on the number of antelope, will then be increased and control of the location of these two species will be lifted.

Thanks to the size of the land and the consequent density of game it is almost certain that visitors will see a large percentage of game on display in their natural habitat.

Besides the large variety of fynbos and other plant species and the increasing amount of game on the land The Garden Route Game Lodge also provides a home for many permanent and migratory bird species which are best viewed on foot and identifiable by the game rangers.
