Directions

Hippo Hollow Country Estate is situated outside Hazyview on the Sabi River between the Drakensberg mountains to the west and the low-lying bushveld to the east.

It is the ideal destination from which to access the reserves of the Lowveld and the sights of Mpumalanga.

DIRECTIONS TO HIPPO HOLLOW COUNTRY ESTATE (FROM JHB OR PRETORIA):

Take the N12, or N4 to Nelspruit via Witbank & Middelburg. At the second set of traffic lights in Nelspruit turn left onto the R40 to White River.
Last set of Traffic lights in White River turn left and continue on the R40 to Hazyview(+/- 45 kms). At the T-junction turn left into Hazyview and continue straight over stop streets & traffic lights, follow the signs to Hippo Hollow. Just after the Sabie Road turn off, you will see Hippo Hollow Country Estate on your left hand side.

Hotel Restaurants

There is a full service restaurant and bar in a spectacular setting overlooking the Sabi River, offering country cuisine and a fine wine selection.

The sight of Kingfishers and other beautiful water birds as well as hippos grazing on the lawns often enhance dinners.

Accommodation

The Lodge has an "Out of Africa " feel about it, and leaves you feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. There are 63 units in total. 18 Family chalets on the river and 19 twin bedded chalets situated in a sub tropical garden.

Hippo Hollow’s chalets are semi-self catering, equipped to cater for a braai. Hippo Hollow also has 26 en-suite hotel rooms.

PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY
- Full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival
- Cancellations made:

* 7 – 14 days prior to arrival, 40% of the value of the room/s booked will be charged as a cancellation fee
* 3 – 2 days prior to arrival, 65% of the value of the room/s booked will be charged as a cancellation fee
* Less than 24hours prior to arrival, 100% of the value of the room/s booked will be charged as a cancellation fee
* In the event of a refund, a 10% administration fee will be retained for cancellations received after the card has been charged.
