It is perfect for family safaris or small groups of friends looking to experience true African hospitality and wildlife in a private, luxury safari lodge set within a private game reserve.

Having been a family home Jembisa also benefits from some extras not usually found at safari lodges. For example a library, reading room,games room and tennis court.

Arrangements are flexible to suit each parties needs. Bunk beds and cots for children are available. All bathrooms have both a shower and a bath.

Meals are varied affairs and may include picnics in the bush, dinner under the stars, lunch on the terrace, and al fresco breakfasts and brunches.
A wide range of beverages are available and wines are quality South African estate wines.

For extra relaxation opt for a massage either in the privacy of your room or on the secluded deck where all you will hear is the birdsong and the river below. We use local organic oils including avocado oil and rose geranium oil.

RATES INCLUDE:
Rates include exclusive use of Jembisa, all meals, local beverages, activities on the reserve, road transfers to local excursions in the surrounding area, laundry service and child minding services.

RATES EXCLUDE:
Optional day trips in the surrounding area, transfers to and from Jembisa, massages by trained therapist, telephone calls, curios, staff gratuities and any other items of a personal nature.

LODGE AND FACILITIES:
Five en-suite bedrooms and a children’s bunkroom spread across two wings of the house. Arrangements are flexible, to suit party needs. Cots for babies are available. Library - including special Africana section, wooden deck overlooking river, swimming pool with thatched shade, floodlit tennis court, satellite-linked email and internet access that is available for limited use and a small curio shop.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a reservation. Full payment is due 40 days prior to arrival. For bookings made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required on confirmation.

CANCELLATION PENALTIES:
All reservations must be cancelled in writing. 60 days and longer, prior to arrival 25% cancellation fee
30-60 days prior to arrival 50% cancellation fee 0-30 days prior to arrival 100% cancellation fee.

CHILDREN:
Children of all ages are very welcome at Jembisa. A full range of fun filled activities are tailor-made to suit children. Children’s books, games and wildlife videos are available.

ACTIVITIES:
Guided game drives and walks, night drives and star-gazing. Visits to Bushman paintings and Iron Age sites on the reserve, bush dining, sleep outs, fishing, swimming, tennis and cycling. Fun activities for the children include spoor identification and tracking, “frogging” and bush survival skills. Other local activities in the surrounding area include scenic helicopter flights, horse riding and elephant back safaris which can be arranged at an additional cost.
