From Johannesburg/Pretoria (4 hours) Take the N12 or N4 Highway respectively to Witbank and then follow the N4 Highway past Belfast and Machadodorp. After the Machado Plaza Toll follow the Schoemanskloof option on the N4 towards Nelspruit. In Nelspruit turn left on the R40, at the Crossings Shopping Centre and follow the instructions from Nelspruit above.

SCENIC ROUTE (4˝ hours) - Take the N12 or N4 Highway respectively to Witbank and then follow the N4 Highway to the Belfast turnoff. Take the off-ramp and in Belfast turn right towards Dullstroom. Pass through Dullstroom and carry on to the T-junction, turning left to Lydenburg. In Lydenburg, turn right following the signs to Sabie, over the Long Tom Pass (the highest tar road in South Africa). In Sabie turn right and take the R536 to Hazyview. Just before Hazyview you will reach a T-junction. Turn right towards Hazyview. Cross the next two traffic lights and at the third 3-way stop turn right on the R40 towards White River. Continue on the R40 for 5km. Protea Hotel Hazyview is situated on your left hand side.
