Setting
The hotel is hidden away in a shady, green and peaceful corner of the Devon Valley with breathtaking views of the olive groves, vineyards and majestic Helderberg Mountains.

Out-and-about
Golfers have the options of numerous excellent golf courses within 10 to 30 minutes radius of the hotel namely; DevonVale, De Zalze, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Pearl Valley, Erinvale and Strand. The beautiful sandy beaches of Strand are less than 25 minutes away. Gordon`s Bay and the ever popular Bikini Beach, adjacent to the harbour and yacht club, is a further 10 minutes` drive. Boating and fishing are available from the harbour. Tutored wine tasting afternoons at the Hotel or private tastings and cellar tours at many nearby estates can be arranged on request. For the more serious hiker, the Stellenbosch Vineyard Hiking Trail starts at the Sugarbird Manor, near the entrance to the Devon Valley Road and meanders through 12km or 24km of peaceful vineyards.

Flavours Restaurant
The hotel`s signature restaurant, `Flavours`, has a gentle, homely ambience and promises to offer guests and visitors authentic, contemporary Cape cuisine. The restaurant`s focus is on bold flavours; celebrating classic, uncomplicated dishes and fresh, clean tastes.

Vineyard Terrace
The Vineyard Terrace is ideal for light and lazy lunches and perfect for functions and weddings.

Cedarwood Lounge
The Cedarwood Lounge and bar is a much coveted and ever popular venue, highly conducive to long evenings alongside the cozy fireplace and home to one of the most definite collections of Single Malt Whiskeys in South Africa.

There are seven, fully air-conditioned, conference and function venues. Room service is available between 07:00-23:00.
