We depart by luxury train from Cape Town on Friday 29 August 2003, at about 18:00

From the moment you enter your 1st class compartment you realize that this is the holiday you had always wanted. In the compartment there will be, for each traveler, three bottles of wine from the regions that will be visited together with a complimentary wine glass, to show our appreciation. Each traveler also receives two liters of natural South African mineral water as part of the daily rations. After departing from Cape Town with majestic Table Mountain as backdrop, our train heads northwestward as the evening falls. We celebrate our departure with a food platter meal, served with sparkling wine. A live band in the dancing coach provides music for our celebrations and the good news is that the music makers will be accompanying us throughout the tour. There is also a lounge coach with a cash bar where you can relax and get to know your fellow travelers in comfortable surroundings.

During the night our train silently departs and those of us who are awake have bittersweet feelings, as we are loath to leave this beautiful part of our wonderful country. Yet we are excited by the prospect of two more days with much still to see and do.

DARLING is where our train comes to rest early on the morning of 03 September 2003. The busses take us to the DUCKITTS Orchid Farm, where we will have breakfast followed by a visit to the ORCHID hot houses. Then we are on the bus again and off to the West Coast National Park to visit POSTBERG and more wild flowers. A glass of sparkling wine and wine of the region will be waiting for us while we enjoy Mother Nature once more in her beautiful attire. Lunch will be served in historical SALDANHA BAY at the NAMA POTJIE Restaurant where we will enjoy Namaqualand cuisine at its best. The Fossil Park will be our last stop before returning to the train at DARLING. Sparkling wine on the tongue consoles us at the parting whilst the wheels slowly start rolling homewards.

Tired, but with a feeling of fulfillment to have experienced so much in so short a time, we arrive back in CAPE TOWN at round about 22:00.

• Travel by train in 1st class coaches (compartments for 4 or coupes for two)

• The tour price is per person sharing for 140 people. We have the right to cancel the tour if this number is not met.
  We have the right to change the itinerary if necessary.
• 50% of tour price is payable before confirmation of booking can be made and the balance not later then
  20 JULY 2003.
• 20% of deposit is NON REFUNDABLE if you cancel before 20 JULY 2003.
• NO REFUNDS if you cancel after 20 JULY 2003 except in case of death or hospitalization. Written proof must be presented, in which case there will be a 50% admin fee deducted
• 100% refund if we cancel the tour.
• Everything that is stated in the itinerary is included. Tips for the bus drivers, restaurant and hotel personnel are excluded. Pocket money, insurance, drinks on board and anything not stated are excluded.
• If necessary we can organize accommodation and airport or train station transfers.
